Smoked Oysters
An ode to our Chesapeake heritage, our Smoked Oysters are rich and meaty, akin to foie gras in consistency. Its texture and intense flavor pairs equally well with our Cochrane au Naturale marinade or our Bourbon Blend, the Smoked Oysters enhanced by a hint of blended American whiskey.


Warm and Creamy Smoked Oyster Dip
Ingredients:
* 1 serving Cochrane Smoked Oysters
* 1 tablespoon butter
* 1/2 cup almonds, sliced
* 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
* 1 cup cream cheese, softened
* 2 tablespoon white onion, chopped
* 1 tablespoon milk
* black pepper, freshly ground

Directions:
Melt butter in frying pan and add sliced almonds. Brown almonds on all sides and set aside. Beat cream cheese until smooth in consistency, and blend in milk. Add horseradish and chopped onion, blend thoroughly. Add black pepper to taste. Gently fold in Smoked Oysters and pour into casserole dish. Top with browned almond slivers and bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbling. Serve hot in chafing dish with accompaniment of choice.
